Lush Review – Bubblegum Lip scrub

Thanks to Lush, my chapped, flaky and dry lips are a thing of the past!

I decided to try their Bubblegum Lip scrub to see how it works, as it smelled amazing. Truth be told I was a bit hesitant as it’s quite expensive and the pot is super small, but I don’t regret buying it at all, as I’ve been using it a couple of months now and there is still so much left.

So basically this Lip scrub is used to rub all the dead skin of your lips to make it smooth and soft. It is perfect to use before applying Lipstick, especially matt or liquid lipsticks as those tend to go into dry cracked lips, so this scrub prevents that. Best of all you can actually lick off the lip scrub from your lips as it is 100% edible and so yummy!

Lush offers a few different Lip scrubs, they have the Bubblegum, Popcorn and Mint Julips scrub, they also offer a limited addition Christmas lip scrubs, Santa’s Lip scrub & Sugar Plum Fairy Lip scrub.

I really love this scrub it works great and also plumps up your lips a bit!

** TIP – if my lips are very dry and chapped, I use the scrub at night and apply Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream afterwards, then the next morning my lips are back to normal and super soft!

Smell: The Bubblegum Lip scrub smell is amazing, it has a super sweet smell and best of all you can actually eat it!

Colour: N/AΒ

Feeling on skin: Ok well this is for lips so the scrub has a sugary, hard feeling when applying and afterwards your lips feel very soft and plump.

Cost: R105, it is quite expensive as it is a very small pot, but it is worth it as it lasts very long and u only use a little bit at a time.

Let me know if you’ve tried the scrub and what your thoughts are!
