Nutella Stuffed Brownies

I found this AMAZING looking Recipe for Nutella Blondies on ‘The Food Charlatan’, Pinned it and Now I have attempted to make them..

I had my 24th Birthday party this past weekend and made it for my party, they were a huge success.. Ok truth be told, the Blondies came out as Brownies and the Nutella inside was not melty – confession I altered the recipe… but they were still amazing, if I say so myself…


This Recipe makes about 12 – 15; depending how big you cut the blocks


– 1 & 1/4 Cups Nutella
– 10 Tablespoons Margarine
– 2 Cups of Dark Brown Sugar
– 1/2 Cup of Cream Cheese (Plain)
– 2 Teaspoons Vanilla essence
– 2 Large Eggs
– 2 Cups of self raising flour
– 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda (aka.Bicarbonate of Soda)
– 1/2 Teaspoon salt


Take a Cup of Nutella and use teaspoons to make drops of Nutella on a baking sheet in a tray, they don’t have to be the same size or perfectly round. I made 16 drops. Place the tray Nutella drops in the freezer while you make the brownies.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and spray your baking dish with Non-stick Cooking spray.

Melt the margarine in a small sauce pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Melt until the margarine starts to bubble and throw it into your mixing bowl.

Stir in the brown sugar and cream cheese. Beat it for about 2 minutes,the mixture should get a bit fluffy.

Now add the Vanilla essence and eggs. Stir it into the mix and scrape the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is combined.

Stir the baking soda and salt into the flour in a separate bowl. Then add it to the mix and stir until everything is combined.

Add a 1/4 Cup Nutella to the mix, swirl it into the mix, do not mix it in completely. Pour mix into baking dish.
Side Note: This is the part my Blondies Turned into Brownies, I mixed the Nutella in too much.

Remove Nutella drops from the Freezer and use your finger to push the drops into the brownie mix. Try to place them evenly in the dish. Use a spatula to cover the Nutella drops in the brownie mix.

Bake for 30 minutes. The edges should be quite crispy and the center chewy.


Cut it into blocks and enjoy!!!
